Jeff Jarvis ponders how the internet will affect education. “Why should my son or daughter have to pick a single college and with it only the teachers and courses offered there?”
In response, I give you a video (over the internet) by BBC News which includes an interview with my mother Fiona Quilty. As principal of St. Anselm’s Catholic School in Canterbury, my mother helped set up a partnership with six local schools: students are able to ‘pick and mix’ different courses at any of these schools, as long as they set it up six months ahead. I’m very proud!
